Giving young people a voice

In our public consultations last year, one of the main priorities raised was to give local young people a voice on the climate crisis, recognising that this generation feels unheard, and will be most affected.

To support practical action on giving local young people a voice on climate change, Seeding our Future have obtained grants from Bridport Town Council and a charitable trust. So we are offering a £1300 challenge fund for activities designed and carried out by young people (age 12-29), enabling them to speak out to the Bridport community on the actions they’d like local people to take.

How this money is spent will be up to you. It could be on making and sharing videos, on social media, events… We are inviting contacts from individuals or groups of young people who’d like to explore this further. Consider bidding for part of the fund, e.g. a budget of £50-£400, so we can support multiple projects. We can work with you to develop a costed proposal for your ideas, which will need approval from the Town Council’s Climate Action group.
